Disposal of LED and lamps legally and reasonable
Frequently manufacturers and importers of LED and lamps feel under pressure to partner up with a take-back-system, in their desire to fulfill the duties of ElektroG. Very clearly: That’s not necessary. Not even a disposal partner would be essential for registration after the duties of WEEE.
Nevertheless, to have a disposal contract is quite to recommend. Because thus you would be ensured, that take-back-orders (handed out by EAR Foundation regularly) were executed quickly and reliably (in case you get monitored for an order).
And what is the decisive factor for being detected and picked for a take-back-order?
You guess it right, it doesn’t happen by incident. It’s no lottery either. It’s different. And so it works…
Each manufacturer provides the amount of sold products (in weight) for Foundation EAR. On the base of those provided data, EAR, whenever is needed, figures out the company with the biggest market share in a certain category at the time. Logically, the manufacturer with the biggest market share (measured still in weight) of all in that detected category would be the first to be chosen for a take back order by EAR.
When does that happen? – Quite simple: EAR itself will start action after it got informed by a recycling court about a container closing on to be full - no matter be it the one for televisions or the one for refrigerators or whichever – it must be replaced by an empty one. So the manufacturer with the biggest marker share would be called first by EAR, the one with the second biggest market share would get the next call, if a container was to be replaced, and so on, until we start again with the number 1 of a certain category of used equipment.
We know the recycling companies, their exact market position, their strategies and their conditions, which makes it quite easy for us to find the right partner for you. Call us: +49-40-73 71 77 79.
