With full service and insider knowledge to register in ElektroG
The registration of electrical and electronical waste (WEEE-Registrierung) is mandatory since 2005. Manufacturer and importers of lamps and LED in Germany have to register within Stiftung EAR and to provide a bank guarantee (to demonstrate credibility) as well as a reliable disposal partner.
We know all these matters quite well, as we are caring about our customers performing of ElektroG since the very beginning. More so, we speak for and represent (parts of) our customers and partners in the relevant and deciding committees of Stiftung EAR, the German authority for ElektroG. Therefore we usually know way before the public – and competitors – what to expect for our customers. Thus we gain them time to react.
That’s quite a bit for manufacturers of lamps and LED: At least three times since 2005 Stiftung EAR (Link zu FAQ) has changed important basics for the registration of LED and lamps. And to register each time manufacturers had to react, to change products, to adapt goods management systems or their product-lay-out.
The next changes are already in the pipeline. As currently just single LED and gas discharge lamps have to be registered, that will become mandatory as well for products that are connected rigidly with the before mentioned LED and lamps – from January 1st 2014. That counts for example for bicycle lamps, solar lights and pocket lamps
Parallel the devices for lighting will have to be adapted. From 2014 a gas discharge lamp will be listed under its own devices category. For producers of LED and other lamps are that good news, as costs for disposal and guarantees should drop quite remarkably.
Besides this ElektroG-recast further fundamental changes are up to deal with for you, which are already being discussed in the committees and working groups of EAR.
That sounds complicated? Well, mustn’t for you, because we take over all your possible tasks. What that means in detail, you may find in services.
If you haven’t already registered you products in question, again we’ll take over with pleasure. Just call +49-40-73 71 77 79.
