EU-wide trading WEEE
Companies trading electrical and electronic products online or via catalogue to consumers in other EU-countries, without beeing domiciled there, will have to register in those countries – in accordance with the inforcement of the new european legislation, WEEE2 (‚ElektroG2‘). Therefore they need – in almost all european countries - an Authorized Representative (AR) or an agent to take over producer tasks and -responsibilities.
What was meant to be easy, is now loaded with trapps:
- In various EU-countries the WEEE2-legislation still hasn’t been transformed into domestic law.
- In some EU-countries there are missing legal basics for the use of representatives.
- In some countries the reporting about traded amounts has to be executed monthly, in others quarterly or once per year.
- Certain products are sorted in various EU-countries in different categories.
- The conditions of the services of representatives a varying sigificantly from some countries to others.
- And how about volontary registrations, if a producer - for instance - in Germany – doesn’t sell there, but to traders in other EU-countries, who are just willing to sell registered products?
- What about a B2B-trader dealing online solely? Is he entitled to register, is he accepted for registration, would he be required to register?
As many of our customers are covered by the new legislation, we are experienced in a wide range of its consequences and their handling in daylife of dealing and trading.
