What’s up with labeling?
WEEE (in Germany: ElektroG) requires that all products in question have to be labeled with the crossed waste-bin. Furthermore the identity of the manufacturer must be recognizable as well as the fact that the product was marketed after august 13th, 2005, demonstrated through a black line under the crossed waste-bin-symbol.
The symbol must be visible, readable and undeletable on the product itself. Where exactly, that is up to the manufacturer. Very small products allow following this duty by being labeled on the manual, the packaging or on the warranty certificate. Just the definition for a „small“ product is again and again point of discussion and of confrontations of lawyers. Just ask us, we can deliver the current interpretation of „small“, at each time required.
